Peace is Complete

My December page, Peace is finished.

Its funny, this is the page I have a deep affinity for, but it is my least favorite as far as beading is concerned. I think half of the problem is that after half of year of using up my bead stash, it is getting used up. I had to switch colors twice in this piece to finish it.
Other than that little Virgoian glitch.....

If you have read my other posts you know that this is my dream. To have a retreat type center that embodies the idea of Peace. Then to send my guests back home to spread that idea. I symbolized all the spreading by using larger blue beads on the outside and then beading ripples out from them.

Now I just need to finish October's page, which is started and January's, which is not, to be caught up. I am feeling good about my progress!

Oh, Brenda -- this turned out so beautifully! I love the ripples of "peace" you so lovingly stitched.

It's just beautiful...and changing beads added a nice dimension to it, instead of taking away from the design...

Beading toward a point (the center of your peace circle) is not easy, and you have done a very good job of it. I totally love the concept of the ripple effect and the way you suggest it in this piece. Wonderful! I'll never forget this one, and wish you strength and sucess in persuit of your dream.

Blessings, Robin A.

Wow this is a very powerful page. My eyes dance around your page. There are many focal points and it is a pleasure to look at and to meditate on Peace. I love the background. I imagine that that is hard to do and keep straight and curvy. I really like your pages.

Does the kyanite stand for anything in particular? I find myself looking for more peace in my life and I like your concept of a retreat. Happy peaceful beading.
