The Gate has been opened

This is such a different style I am trying compared to last year. I have to sit and stare at it wondering if it is done. But it is.

This is my gate to the Pursuit of Peace, my year long quest/journal. It was very apropos that I beaded it on my trip to England. As we would tour the great palaces and castles we would have to enter through their majestic gates, then I would go back to our hotel and bead my own.

For October I am planning to walk down the path beyond the gate, to see what new adventures await me.

I absolutely love how this page turned out. The gate really stands out as the focal piece to this beautiful photo. I really like your touches of beads here and there. It is lovely.

This piece is ever so lovely. Makes the viewer want to walk through the gate and go on a tour of discovery. The elaborate gate at once reminded me of similar gates I have walked through (not all of them as beautiful as this one). I'm looking forward to seeing what you find along the path!

I have always loved gates and your gate jumped right out of your work and spoke to me. It's a great entry piece for your work this year. Here's a link to a woman who I've admired who does gates cut from paper http://www.papergates.com/ yours reminded me of her..

OMG I took a look at her gates, see the above comment. They are fabulous and to think they are cut paper. So cool!!!
