Healing Spirals

I am moving today.

As I would pack a load into the Jeep, I would stop, catch my breath and bead a little. I have four days to move, not that I want it to take that long. But I am taking over my last load for the night and realize that April's piece is finished. I am sitting at the computer with a mostly empty place, the internet gets turned off tomorrow. But in the midst of all this chaos, I finished my April page.

Frikking Amazing!

And as I type this post, there is a Native American drumming session going on across the way, the sound is carrying through my window. Again, amazing.

I am getting together with one of our fellow BJPer next week, I hope to start my May page. I might even start June's page in June, simply amazing.

Back to April's page, if you go to Madeline Island in the spring, you get to see these fields of lupine flowers. I have tried to grow them here and can not, they only last a season. So it is so magical to come upon a whole field of them. I love the way the water/dew collects in their leaves, just like Lady's Mantle does. So beautiful. The healing hand is of course for me, to remember that there are fields like this out there, that magic still exist.

Off to pack my last load of the evening.
Take care everyone.

I am so glad you found a new place to live. I wish you all the best as you settle in and make it your new home.

This one is beautiful, Brenda... and YOU are amazing! I love lupine too. Have to go to the mountain medows to see it here... not on our island, so it is very special. I love the way the graceful spirals flow from the hand and follow the lines of the lupine stems... You've created a very amazing piece here and may it grace your search for a lasting home (in every sense of the word home!) Love, Robin

Gorgeous! You must just be in the wrong spot for lupine. I have it in my garden here and have actually ripped it out because it seems to take over. Best of luck in your new HOME!

The depth of field in the lupine picture really makes your healing hand leap forward and the lupine recede -- almost like looking at a 3-D picture...

I think it's simple and absolutely evocative. I love the netting over the picture as well...

Have you ever read the children's book...Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney? It's a wonderful story of spreading lupine seeds...next time you're at the library check it out. Good luck with your move!

Lovely! It's hard to imagine how you could complete it while moving. I hope you are beginning to feel settled by now.
