Mango Madness

I have been doing a lot of thinking since my last post, trying to figure out a way to get myself out of this funk. I have worked through issues with my beading so I hoped it would work the other way around too.

A while back a friend had told me her friend needed a new golden boy, the one she had had disappointed her, I knew exactly who she needed, Mango! With his gold sequined shorts and his pouty lips, he would never let her down.

I figured I could find a photo of him, attach magnets to the back and she could have this great refrigerate magnet that would make her smile every time she went into the kitchen. I found this great photo of him, slapping his butt, with his finger up saying his classic line "You can not have the Mango!" It begged to be beaded. After Dark Recesses I needed to bead something frivolous, just for fun. I started with his beret, every time I looked at it I smiled, it was working. Beading not only could help me work through issues it could help me find joy again. What a eye opener! So if ever your beading makes you go too deep, find your own Mango to bead.

I leave you with this quote from Marcus Aurelius, said over two thousand years ago, "Accept whatever comes to you woven in the pattern of your destiny, for what could more aptly fit your needs?" Wise man.
